Scott Arnold Wins Australian Amateur Final

NSW Scott Arnold has won a closely fought Australian Amateur Final against Victoria's Daniel Beckman in Queensland, winnning 3/1.  Another NSW player, Justine Lee, won the Final of the Women's Amateur.

Scott Arnold secured his biggest title in his career to date when he won the Australian Men’s Amateur Championship over Daniel Beckmann 3&1 at Royal Queensland Golf Club.

The victory adds to Arnold’s list of titles that include the this year's Lake Macquarie Amateur, the last two NSW Champion of Champion events, the 2006 Hong Kong Open Amateur, and the 2008 Riversdale Cup.  Winning the Australian Amateur crown also solidifies Arnold’s ranking as Australia’s top ranked amateur.

“Winning the Australian Amateur title is a sweet as,” said an elated Arnold.

“All week I’ve been swing the club smoothly and striking the ball well. I just held it together out there this afternoon and was able to play the right shots at the right time.”
